A campsite with a human dimension in Argelès sur Mer

Overlooking the Mediterranean, from the heights of a hill, to the south of Argelès sur Mer, the grounds on which our 5 star Le Bois de Valmarie campsite are located are nothing short of astonishing! It is ideally situated by the sea, at the gateway to Le Racou whose name means ‘nook’ in Catalan, a natural site owned by the Conservatoire National du Littoral (a state-owned coastal protection agency). Le Bois de Valmarie could not welcome you in a more idyllic setting or indeed more natural surroundings.

Although the cliffs of the Côte Vermeille coast are not far from here, the campsite is located in the vicinity of one of the region’s loveliest beaches. Near this beach, timber cabins form much more than a mere hamlet. This is a village in its own right, which has been able to retain a convivial and family atmosphere. Moreover, the layout of these small houses has enabled the development of straight sandy alleyways, lacking neither charm or freshness.

Although the geographical location of this campsite enables you to walk to the seaside and sandy beach in Le Racou, it also enables you to reach the Argelès harbour, just a few minutes’ walk away. Around it, shops and restaurants are legion. Covered with cork oaks, the Le Bois de Valmarie campsite has everything to attract you. It is a location where peace and la dolce vita dominate. A location enjoyed for its tranquillity but also for the quality and variety of its services and facilities.
