On a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, a little area of peace and greenery near the hustle and bustle of the beaches and town centre. The nook or ‘racou’ in Catalan, is located to the south of Argelès, where the long fine sandy beaches of the Côte d’Améthyste coast (south West Mediterranean) make way for the cliffs and rocks of the Côte Vermeille (the coastline between Argelès sur Mer and Spain). From the sand-covered alleyways, you’ll be able to go to the harbour, Le Racou beach or coastal path, leading you to Collioure and Spain!
